Our Agricultural Farm

Caring for the bees, enhancing the territory

We are a young agricultural startup in the heart of Mount Soratte. Miele Naturale is an independent educational and research project: our work combines the study of bees, respect for nature, and the desire to share a conscious ecosystemic culture.

Education and protection of biodiversity

We were founded on a simple yet vital idea: to live and work in harmony with the environment, free from the logic of commercial production. Rather than "exploiting" the territory's resources, as an agricultural startup and educational hub, our goal is to take care of them.

We pursue beekeeping with deep dedication, scientific curiosity, and a profound respect for the rhythms of nature, basing our daily work on three specific commitments:

Apis mellifera ligustica

We protect and breed our Italian bee, preserving its docile nature and helping it adapt naturally and strongly to our microclimate.

Supporting the Environment

Our bees are little guardians of the territory. Through their pollination work, they help the precious and complex flora of Mount Soratte to thrive.

Respect and Patience

We never force production rhythms. We harvest honey only when the bees allow it and in sustainable quantities, always putting their health first.

The People Behind the Project

Miele Naturale is the project of Bianca Madalina Crismaru, owner of the Agricultural Farm, and Federico Fantacone, who supports the activity as an agricultural operator and editorial curator. Our story stems from a radical lifestyle choice: stepping away from urban frenzy to follow the slow rhythms of nature.

The hills of Mount Soratte were, first and foremost, the perfect refuge for our initial zootechnical vocation: the ethical and high-pedigree breeding of the Pomeranian (Zwergspitz). However, observing every day how rich and delicate this territory was, a simple question arose within us: how could we give something back to this land, beyond just taking care of it? The answer was bees. Applying our zootechnical experience to the protection of pollinators was a natural, almost inevitable step.

Today, beekeeping is our concrete way of protecting the biodiversity of Soratte. We don't rely solely on instinct: every choice in the apiary and every guide we publish online stems from what we observe in the field, always cross-referenced with scientific evidence. Study and practice walk together, with a single goal: the well-being of our bees.

We chose the community of Sant'Oreste because here we found a pristine corner of Lazio. In 2026, we officially launched our headquarters in the province of Rome, welcoming our first 28 bee families: a small beginning of which we are deeply proud. Our activity is registered in the national beekeeping registry with the code IT099RM169.

Regulations are just the starting point. Discover our analytical approach and product guarantees in the guide Science and Purity.

Verifiable Skills and Safety

Taking agriculture and environmental protection seriously means studying constantly. To guarantee maximum transparency and process safety, all professional certificates and qualifications of our team are public and directly accessible:

We maintain constant technical and scientific updates on the best apicultural practices, pollinator well-being, and sector regulations.

This rigorous study has a specific ultimate goal: organoleptic excellence. We invite you to decode the sensory maps of our territory through the guide to the Art of Tasting.

Our home: a precious ecological corridor

Our animals live and thrive in a truly special ecosystem. We operate in Sant'Oreste (Rome), right in the middle of a green bridge connecting two natural pearls of the Lazio region:

  • Mount Soratte: A wonderful limestone island surrounded by pristine Mediterranean scrub. Here, far from smog and intensive agriculture, the bees find safe pastures and genuine blooms.
  • Nazzano Tevere-Farfa Nature Reserve: A vital area for the territory that guarantees extraordinary biodiversity, giving us variety and richness during the seasonal blooms.

Every bloom in this ecological corridor yields a unique nectar. Explore the intimate connection between the Lazio terroir and apicultural botany in our guide Origins and Flowers.

We strengthen the economy of local farmers and artisans: our bees come from the rustic and resilient generations of the nearby Apicoltura Monte Soratte, while the wooden hives they live in are crafted with artisanal methods in the Cooperativa Melissa carpentry in Castelliri, Ciociaria.

Precious Collaborations

Our Neighbors: Apicoltura Monte Soratte

We collaborate with Apicoltura Monte Soratte, an agricultural company in Sant'Oreste active for 40 years and specialized in certified organic honey. Their experience in the Mount Soratte area, combined with their own production and a positioning based on quality and natural supply chains, represents a concrete and reliable reference point for us.
